Technical Architect – Position #0139

Hot Tomali is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join our team. Successful candidates must have at least two–three years experience developing powerful web & mobile applications.

We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented with strong programming, analytical, communication, and marketing skills.

Utilizing your acute sense of detail and website usability, you will work directly with the creative team and will be responsible for taking projects and turning them into fully functional, database driven websites or powerful mobile applications.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Able to work with a MVC (Model/View/Controller) framework
  • Able to integrate the latest web technologies into comprehensive website plans
  • Experience transforming HTML websites for mobile viewing (iPhone, Android, Blackberry
  • Strong database management skills
  • Language: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby on Rails (3.1)
  • Mobile: jQuery Mobile, HTML5, CSS3
  • Database: SQL, Amazon RDS, SQL Request optimization
  • Cloud Computing: Heroku, Sendgrid, Mailchimp, Various APIs

Technical Marketing skills

  • Experience planning and developing innovative web applications with a strong emphasis on social media integration
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Experience developing for growing community platforms
  • Strong knowledge of marketing within the digital realm, and familiar with latest SEO and web analytics standards

Additional Skills

  • French: Fluency in reading, writing and speaking

Other day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with development of technical proposals, creating quotes, testing and debugging, communicating with clients’ IT departments, helpdesk, performing scheduled backups, providing regular status reports to management, creating timelines, and developing user manuals for complex applications.
