The Scotiabank and United Way Community Spirit Awards
The Scotiabank and United Way Community Spirit Awards were presented on Thursday, February 26, 2009 during a ceremony and breakfast at the Westin Bayshore. People got together to honour the commitment, leadership, and community innovation shown by volunteers during the 2008 United Way Community Campaign. Hot Tomali’s Employee Campaign Chair, Sabrina Wagner, was invited to attend to receive an Award of Excellence for achieving a Gold level of giving for five consecutive years.
Each year during the United Way Community Campaign, thousands of individuals and organizations work tirelessly to help raise awareness and funds for United Way and our community. In addition, many volunteers spend countless hours helping with programs that respond to local needs in local communities. All of these volunteers are making a real difference, and at the Scotiabank and United Way Community Spirit Awards they were recognized for their work and dedication. On behalf of Hot Tomali, Sabrina received a framed certificate and had her photo taken.
