VANCOUVER — Vancouver agency Hot Tomali Communications has partnered with local distributor Sonray Sales, Ltd., to launch HaveARiceDay.com, a new consumer-focused website celebrating rice.
Visitors to HaveARiceDay.com immerse themselves in the world of rice—an educational website touting the surprising benefits and versatility of rice as a cornerstone of a healthy diet. Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating recommends 3–7 servings of grain products per day, and rice can play an important part: it is fat- and sodium-free, easy to prepare, and a great source of vitamins and fibre. Downloadable recipes show how versatile rice is, from appetizers, to entrees, to desserts.
The idea for a consumer-facing website about their rice offerings came to mind while Jeff Hornell, Sonray's Account Manager, was attending a trade show and found himself repeatedly educating customers at his booth. “It's easy to overlook the potential of rice,” says Hornell. “We wanted a venue to remind people how beneficial and inexpensive rice is.” HaveARiceDay.com offers a product locator to assist visitors in finding retailers for high quality rice products like Organic Kokuho Rose® Brown. The website's volume of information makes it the place to go for all things rice.
