VANCOUVER, November 20, 2006 — Hot Tomali’s PSA for the International Dyslexia Association, “Frustrating”, has won the 2006 Lotus Award in the Best Public Service TV category. The 60 second advertisement is based on a childrens TV show theme with a dog in a mascot costume and four kids singing along to an original song called Frustrating, which was produced by Wayne Kozak Audio Productions. Viewers are encouraged by the dog to “follow the bouncing ball”, which starts out normally, but then begins to bounce out of order as the song progresses to simulate difficulty with reading. The song addresses many different symptoms which affect people with dyslexia, including difficulty processing written, verbal and aural information.
